The Kathy Whitworth Invitational Junior Girls Golf Championship–benefiting Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Fort Worth–will take place March 12-13 at Mira Vista Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas. In its 14th year, the invitational attracts top U.S. and international golfers.
Recognized by the AJGA Polo Golf Rankings, the Kathy Whitworth Invitational provides girls with the opportunity to participate at the highest tier of competitive golf on a premier championship course. Players earn
points for the Polo Golf Rankings based on the strength of field and
their finish in the Kathy Whitworth Invitational Junior Girls
Championship. The AJGA is going to recognize the Kathy
Whitworth Invitational Junior Girls Championship in their
Performance Based Entry (PBE) system:
Top 3: Fully Exempt
Top 5: 3 Tournament Exemptions
Top 10: 2 Tournament Exemptions
Top 15: 1 Tournament Exemption

With 88 career wins, Kathy Whitworth holds an
all-time record for both men's and women's U.S. Tours. Ms. Whitworth
is a seven-time LPGA Player of the Year with six majors under her belt. She
was the Associated Press Athlete of the Year in 1965 and 1967 and was
inducted into the LPGA's Hall of Fame in 1975.
Ms. Whitworth inspires golfers of all ages through her dedication to the sport. She has graciously given her time and name to ensure the success of the Kathy Whitworth Invitational Junior Girls Golf Championship.
